Savannah Romero

Eastern Shoshone, Director of Communications

Savannah is an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and a dedicated advocate for Indian Country. She has worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Correspondent, at the National Indian Education Association, and as the Movement Building and Organizing Manager at IllumiNative, where she worked to uplift contemporary Native voices and build Indigenous power. Savannah is the co-founder of The BLIS Collective, a Solidarity and Action Hub that braids narratives and grows movements


She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Washington, a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from New York University, and a Master’s in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Through policy, advocacy, and storytelling, she continues to champion Indigenous representation and equity.
